If you have ever been interested in learning more about the French language, then you will be happy to know that you won't be bored. It is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and comes only second after English, as being widely taught around the world.

This great language has a rich cultural history and is considered the official international language of the postal service and one of the languages of the Red Cross. Africa ranks top on the list of having the most people who know how to speak French.

France and the French language are closely intertwined with American history. The famous Statue of Liberty was a gift to the USA from France. There are also many literary masterpieces that have been translated into English from the French vocabulary. In the USA, this language is the most popular second language taken up in higher education and is one of the most in demand languages, with regard to jobs.

France is also one of the most popular tourist destinations, with about 100 million people visiting it every year. More than 500,000 Americans are employed in French companies (making it the third largest employer of US citizens) and about 600,000 French people are employed in US enterprises.

France is a country that is rich in accomplishments and it can be fun and interesting to learn about them. Science and medicine are fields that the French excel in, with France being host to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, as well as being the country where the AIDS virus was first discovered.

If you learn how to speak French, then you would be able to correctly pronounce Citroen, Renault and Peugeot, which are the cars that France is famous for producing. Learning the French language can be a challenge, as well as how to correctly pronounce French words but it can be rewarding and help to motivate you.

Learning to speak French can be a difficult task, but if you learn interesting facts about the country, where the language originates, then it can make it easier. France is the country responsible for the creation of fiber optics, as well as being a top dog in the telecommunications field.

Knowing more about France and its history can make learning the French language that much easier. France has some top accomplishments in the aircraft, military and technology industries too. For those who already know how to speak French, it must be exciting to be able to read about all of this in French.
