Have you ever wandered through a store looking at the hundreds of hair care products and wondered which one is the one that you need? This is an extremely common problem for women all over the globe. There are so many hair care products on the market, which makes it nearly impossible to find and pick just one. Everyone has different things that they look for when shopping for hair care products, so it does make sense that there are so many of them to choose from. However, this does not make it any easier for you, the consumer to figure out just how to satisfy the needs of your hair and scalp.

You may be surprised to learn that there are many things you can do to help your hair that do not even involve leaving your house most of the time. You will probably be shocked to find out how basic household items can really improve the shine and health of your hair. For example, did you know that avocados are not just something to be eaten, but can be a basic hair care product as well? While avocados can make a great guacamole or dipping sauce, that is no longer their only purpose. Many people refer to the avocado as the green goddess because it is incredibly helpful. The avocado serves as a very rich type of mask for your hair when combined with a few other key ingredients. Take one avocado and combine it with one egg yolk and a dash of olive oil and massage it through your hair. Just as you do with many other hair care products, be sure to leave this mixture in for at least thirty minutes, then shampoo, rinse and condition like you normally do. So, the next time you think an avocado is too old to eat, try using it in your hair instead.

Another really great household item that can be used as a hair product is an egg. It is true; there is finally a way that you can benefit from all of the natural proteins in an egg without the cholesterol. All you have to do is beat a few eggs together and massage the mixture into your hair after you are done shampooing. Let it stand for a little while and then rinse out as usual. The egg treatment will help repair or strengthen your hair follicles, which will lead to silkier locks and an overall better body in your hair.
